COFFEE
All of our coffee is purchased well above the fair trade pricing (which is a very low price). We do not purchase labeled “fairtrade” coffee, which requires high fees to obtain.
Instead, we have established relationships with farmers to give back and support farming communities in Oaxaca, Mexico with many more to come.
At the moment, most of our coffees are organic (Cool Beans, LifeBlood, Wake-Up Call and Coffinated) and although Wake up Call is not organic, they utilize eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
Working with very small producers and micro-lots leaves little room to pay hefty amounts for an annual organic certificate fee. And although they follow all the sustainable processes and practices to do so, it remains unaffordable.
Nonetheless, we are committed to working with and supporting the small producers and farming communities.
Our coffee comes from a small group of farms/farmers in Mexico that produce and select the best beans to go through their specialty process before being roasted by dedicated roasters.
By the best, we mean our green coffee purchases are assessed by a Q-Grader to ensure they are Specialty grade, this is 80 points and above. That's why you will see a score in every coffee in our store.
So the chain is complete. GOOD FARM PRACTICES + GOOD ROASTING + GOOD BREWING (If you need to learn or would like to look into different brewing methods, check out our recipe page!)
Check our Brewing Guides to Learn More.
100% Yes. The flavors are natural and can differ depending on the bean origin. Coffee flavor notes can vary greatly depending on where and how the coffee is grown.
Notes can be fruits, chocolate, caramel, and many many more. But don't get us wrong, these are "hints" or flavor "souvenirs" that can be found in your coffee, not added flavors.
Q Graders (professional coffee taster) give these notes to each bean origin during the sensorial review portion of the evaluation.None of our coffees have any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Zero! Nada!
It is best to store coffee in an opaque, airtight container and keep it in a cool dry location.
To remain fresh for longer, beans do not want to be exposed to light or humidity.
When properly stored, ground coffee can remain fresh for about 4 weeks, whole beans can stay fresh for about 8 weeks.

ABOUT US
Killer Coffee Company is a woman/veteran-owned company that started out of the desire to share Mexican specialty coffee with the world and with those who enjoy and love a good ass cup of coffee.
It is also pretty great for those who just need a kickstart in the morning.
We are located in sunny South Florida. Our operations run in Boca Raton, FL, and we also offer services with our coffee truck in most of South Florida counties.
Our mission is to bring the mexican flavor to american cups. The profile of our coffees is little known, if you ask any coffee lover in the USA, they all know Ethiopian or Colombian coffees.
We want to be your one-stop for all things Mexican Specialty Coffee beans.
We want to support small producers with authentic direct trade and support their communities whenever possible.
Having direct contact helps us to convey the real needs of the Mexican countryside to the final consumer and create more awareness that in order to obtain extraordinary coffees, it is necessary to value the work of those behind it.
We love to explain at farmers markets what is a washed coffee or a natural, the different types of roasts and why you also have to choose a certain type of grind for each coffee maker.
We are literally educating the customer to prepare a good cup. With fresh coffee, free of mold or very dark roasts (burnt!).
Since 2016. The project was born in Mexico with a specialty coffee shop. However, due to the pandemic, we had to close the doors of our store and evolve into a new concept that already includes roasting our own specialty coffee.
We have been collaborating directly with six farms in Mexico for more than five years, in which we decided to continue supporting by launching Killer Coffee in the United States. Finally, Killer Coffee was launched in July 2020 in South Florida.
