GOT QUESTIONS?
There is a scale of 0-100 where coffees scoring 80 points and more are considered special coffees.
And who does that evaluation? Q-graders (coffee sommeliers) people certified and trained with very sensitive palates to discover defects and wonders in coffee beans. Check the Specialty Coffee Association website to learn more about Specialty Coffee attributes.
Our coffee comes from a small group of farms/farmers in Mexico that produce and select the best beans to go through their specialty process before being roasted by dedicated roasters.
So the chain is complete GOOD FARM PRACTICES + GOOD ROASTING + GOOD PREPARATION (That's up to you!).
100% Yes. The flavors are natural and can differ depending on the bean origin.
Coffee flavor notes can vary greatly depending on where and how the coffee is grown.
Notes can be fruits, chocolate, caramel, and many many more. But don't get us wrong, these are "hints" or flavor "souvenirs" that can be found in your coffee, not added flavors.
Q Graders (professional coffee taster) give these notes to each bean origin during the sensorial review portion of the evaluation. None of our coffees have any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Zero! Nada!
Whether you know little about coffee or you are a coffee snob and want to know which one we recommend according to your preferences, you can take our coffee quiz to make your decision easier.
The ratio that we like the most for almost all the coffees that we prepare is 20 grams (2.5 tbs) per 250ml of water. That means that if you take that reference you can prepare up to 17 cups with a bag of coffee. Learn how to prepare a better cup of coffee with our coffee guide.
All the roasts in our online store are medium, we like to offer sweet flavors with good acidity, balanced.
If you are looking for a higher roast when ordering, you can include a note in the shopping cart indicating a special type of roast!
